From the brewery:

A Victorian Mild. A beer style revived from the British brewing annals. The higher alcohol content a reflection of traditions prior to wartime taxation on grain.

With our heritage grain, we have something close to the barley used at the time. Highly kilned speciality malts and brewing sugar make for a dark beer with suggestions of dried dark fruit, caramel, liquorice and burdock.
